Maa Gayatri Hospital& Trauma Centre
About us

39 years of showing up for this region

Maa Gayatri Hospital & Trauma Centre opened in 1987 as a small nursing home on the outskirts of town. Today it's a 220+-bed multi-speciality hospital and Level II trauma centre — grown one referral, one recovery, at a time.

Hospital corridor
Our history

From ten beds to a trauma referral centre

Dr. Suresh Chandra founded the hospital with ten beds and a single operating theatre, built to serve a stretch of highway with no nearby emergency care. As the town grew, so did the hospital — a dedicated trauma bay in 1998, a cardiac catheterization lab in 2007, and a 24x7 dialysis unit in 2015.

What hasn't changed is the reason it exists: getting care to people fast, and treating them like more than a bed number once they're here.

Our Mission

To deliver fast, honest, and thorough medical care — trauma to preventive — to every patient who walks through our doors, regardless of how they arrived.

Our Vision

To be the region's most trusted hospital: the first call in an emergency and the first choice for ongoing care.
